The Pittsburgh Tomorrow Leadership Corps is a program for pioneering high school students who want to make a difference in our region. Through a combination of volunteering, mentorship, and workshops, PTLC equips students with the voice and vision to build a brighter tomorrow in Pittsburgh.

Calling all high school leaders! Join us January 10 for an exciting day at the Heinz History Center. Gifted storyteller Andy Masich – The Heinz History Center’s President & CEO – will explore Pittsburgh’s fascinating history before a scavenger hunt through America’s best history museum.

Join the Corps

Ready to lead? Apply to join a community of trailblazers

Students should be able to commit to joining the Leadership Corps for at least one year.

Requirements:

  • A current or rising sophomore or junior at a Pittsburgh metropolitan area high school
  • A demonstrated interest in leadership and service
  • Availability to travel to and participate in Leadership Corps activities during the school year
  • Love for Pittsburgh and desire to contribute meaningfully to our community

FAQ

  • What are the requirements for participating?
    • For our first year, we are looking for our leaders to attend every event that they can, with a minimum attendance to at least two events. 
  • How many events are there?
    • Our curriculum of events averages to about one event per month of the academic school year.
  • What kind of events are they?
    • We plan events based on a wide array of interests that encompass and embody leadership skills, community building, civic knowledge, community service, entrepreneurial spirit, philanthropy and culture. 
  • Is there transportation provided?
    • Currently we do not offer transportation services. 
  • If I am an educator, do I need to accompany the students from my school to the events?
    • Nope!
  • Is there a cost to the student or school?
    • There is no financial obligation for our student leaders or their schools. 
  • Is there a limit to how many students can sign up?
    • No, there is no limit. We welcome all student leaders from Allegheny County and surrounding counties.
